This is a directory of Newcomers Clubs, Women's Groups, Moms Clubs & Dads organizations in Switzerland, which are designed to give men and women the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with others who live in the area. Many of these groups have general meetings and interest groups which encourage members to learn about their new city, its culture, activities, lifestyle, and to develop friendships by sharing interests and hobbies with each other. The IMKC is a club for English speaking families with young children. Most activities are designed for mums and kids to meet other mums and kids in a social environment. There are many different toys available and mums can chat over a coffee or tea (provided by the club) and some snacks (mums take turns in providing those) while the kids can play, do some crafts and get to know each other. There are four different playgroups -according to children's age- that meet weekly in Baar where the club rents a room. Visit our webpage or send us an email for more information.

Intercultural Toastmasters Geneva is the new Toastmasters club in which people from all cultures meet in a friendly and supportive environment and a beautiful place in order to train their public speaking and leadership/organization skills. We give impromptu and preared speeches, learn from each other and have a lot of fun.

The purpose of the Club is to promote fellowship among English-speaking women, and to encourage their interest in cultural and philanthropic endeavors. The Club has over 500 full members, of which one-third are American. The Club is a non-profit organization, run on an entirely volunteer basis. There are some thirty Activity groups covering a wide range of interests, from crafts to hiking, skiing or music appreciation.

AWOT was founded in 1990, to meet the needs of American women in Ticino. Sixteen women attended the first meeting and, since then our focus has remained the same - to be a strong support group for our members. The group meets regularly to share information on topics of mutual interest and to provide support for one another. We also plan special events to commemorate American holidays.
